This is the lighting set up that we were shown in Chris's lesson. This is the basic lighting set up that is used in any beauty or editorial ads. This is because the lighting good enough to make the picture and the model's skin look bright even without retouching. The main light is the beauty dish as it has a very bright effect. This will be used in front of the model's face right on top of the camera. There will be two soft boxes on the sides that will be covered by diffusers. This will give the sides of the picture a lighted lifted look and brighten up the overall image.
The two poly boards that are on either side of the model will help the light of the beauty dish solely flow on the model. The roll paper at the back can be changed according to the feel of the picture and what overall look the photographer is going for. The appeture can be toned accordingly from the flash and the camera itself.
