Cute- Moodboard No.2

This is my second moodboard that I created after all the feedback I got form my peers and my tutor. I was told to focus on fewer things yet relating it back to the word cute. I was also told to work on my layout and making sure the structure is perfect. As n my first moodboard all I had were face shots of make up, I was told to change those into more cute images rather than makeup shots. Instead of having a variety of images like cute toys, babies, sweets, places, and more. I chose to stick to less things. I chose to stick by flowers of different shades and textures. I also put in images of sweets and two images of ice cream tubs.

I kept the middle image as a cartoon image as I thought that it really represented the word cute. I chose the images of the flowers as I would like to use flowers for my editorial shoot. In all for corners of the moodboard I chose images of pink sunflowers as I though that they would be appropriate to use in the shoots. However, I also put in images of roses with different textures, looks and feel. The two images of the roses on the left and the right have glitter on the outer rims of the petals. To me this gives a vey cute look.

Although, I need to keep in mind that when using glitter on them I have to make sure that it does no go everywhere turning everything into a mess. In the middle at the top and bottom I have images of roses with softer looks. They look as if they are so soft to touch with a very silky structure. I think these will be a little hard to use for the shoots as I have always noticed that roses have a much shorter life span than other flowers. Also as they grow the open up even more and I will have to make sure that all the roses have to look the same if I use them.

I put in the images of the ice cram as I really liked how they both show different textures. The image on the left has more of a sturdy yet smooth texture. On the other hand the image in the right has a more smooth and has more of a flow to it. I also like how it has the two different colours blending in so well into each other like a jigsaw puzzle. The four images of the sweets that are in the moodboard I think do represent cute. The image on the top right in particular as it has sugar coated on top which makes it look cute automatically. Looking at this image I can relate it to the image in the first image of the lips coated with sugar.

The other images of the sweets all relate to cute and I like the different looks they give of all different textures and different shades of pink. In conclusion the moodboard looks all pink. I did that as I would like to base my editorial shoot around this colour. I really feel like all the different shades of pink shown relate back to cute. I now need to create makeup and hair charts of how all these images and inspirations will influence the looks.
