Post Production Lesson With Peter

During this post production lesson with Peter we actually learned how to place our edited brand image into the Indesign template that we have to use for our final submission. Once you have opened the image in Indesign right click the image and click the tab that says fit frame proportionally. If the image shows pixels click the tab that says display performance and select the tab that says high quality display.

The same thing should be done with the brand logo that is, right click on the image and select the tab that says fit frame to content. As all the content in the submission file has to be on separate pages, create 4 new pages as the file should consist of 5 pages. As the first page should contain the mood board change the first page to landscape. To do this you need to create a B master page. After creating the B master page right click on the master page and select create new master. Change the page layout to landscape and drag it onto page A and it becomes landscape.

As my brand is mac and I am advertising a lipstick, I asked Peter if we could actually change the colour of the lipstick to match the colour of  the lipstick I would actually use on the model in the image that I would upload onto the template. To do this select the place and select the image to be edited. Hold the shift key down, right click and edit with Photoshop. Click on the adjustments tab go to colous hue/saturation and select the reds or the colour you would want the lipstick to be. Save this image as a tiff file and going back into Indesign, re-link the image and it will replace it in Indesign.
